Kaytlin, a former LIFT 45 graduate, will be living full-time in Santiago, Dominican Republic serving with Students International. She first discovered her passion for the mission field when learning more about God’s heart for the lost through LIFT’s missions classes. During her time with LIFT, she first experienced the Dominican Republic on a short-term missions trip. After completing LIFT, she moved to Santiago for 8 months to serve as an intern for Global Bridge, a study abroad program focused on American students who were serving alongside Student International’s ministry and completing online studies.
As she worked alongside the Global Bridge leadership team, her love for guiding and supporting students as they navigated life cross-culturally expanded, and her passion for serving the impoverished Dominican communities grew. The Lord made it very clear to her, that her saying “yes” to the internship was just the beginning of His leading.
As she prepares to return to the field for a minimum of 3 years, she continues to be amazed at Lord’s provision in this season.
Students International is focused on meeting the holistic needs of people living in vulnerable communities in Latin America. Their full-time staff serves those in need year-round. Students serve on short-term missions teams alongside SI missionaries to make a real difference in the lives of the people they serve.
Kaytlin’s specific assignment will be in Women’s Social Work. She desires to work with impoverished women and young girls to encourage their identity in Christ, to lead Bible studies, and to promote sexual purity.
